The story behind this Trainer card

Tool Scrapper removes up to two Pokémon Tools already attached. The player can target cards on their own side, the opponent's side, or both. The chosen Tools go to the discard pile while the Pokémon carrying them remain in play. This removal can therefore strip opposing equipment or free a place on the player's own team without moving the Pokémon themselves.

A detail worth noticing

Tool Scrapper does not reserve its targets for opposing equipment. The parenthetical clarification also allows Tools attached to your Pokémon. The limit is a maximum of two Tool cards, regardless of which side they belong to.
