CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Machamp fights with four arms capable of striking in several directions without losing their rhythm. It can seize an opponent while defending itself, then unleash blows powerful enough to move enormous masses. The Pokédex credits it with mastery of many martial arts. This combination of strength and speed gives the impression of a fighter always ready to respond, whichever direction an attack comes from. Its entire body seems committed to the movement.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Despite its strength, Machamp lacks the delicacy needed for fine tasks. Pokémon Moon explains that it easily lifts very large trucks, but struggles with precision work. This limitation makes its four arms less versatile than they appear: immense power does not always replace dexterity.
