CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Revavroom makes gas from poison and minerals extracted from rocks. It explodes the gas in its eight cylinders to generate energy. The noise of its exhaust also serves to threaten others. If it opens its cylindrical mouth, it can extend its tongue and spray toxic liquid. The Pokédex thus describes a body that works like an engine, but whose racket and dangerous substances directly serve to intimidate or attack.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet gives Revavroom eight cylinders and explains that exploding toxic gas generates energy inside them. Pokémon Violet details another function of its cylinder-shaped mouth: it can expel a poisonous liquid from it.
