CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Comfey picks flowers with the vine attached to its head and carries them around its body. It feels uneasy when it lacks them. The chosen flowers do not wilt and create a scent unique to each individual. Some of its petals' fragrances have soothing qualities. The Pokédex thus gives this garland both a personal and useful role: it reflects the flowers collected and can calm those who smell it.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword states that flowers carried by Comfey do not wilt. Pokémon Shield explains why its fragrance varies between individuals: each chooses different flowers. Ultra Moon credits the scent of its petals with a soothing effect.
