CARDEX BACKGROUND

About the species

Sneasel moves at night and climbs trees by driving its claws into the bark. It looks for unattended nests from which to steal eggs. Several individuals may even work together: while one creates a distraction, the others approach their prize. This cooperation does not prevent arguments over sharing the meal. The Pokédex describes an agile thief whose claws serve as tools for climbing, defending itself and opening eggs.

This account describes the species in the video games. It does not describe its Trainer’s history or that of this copy, and does not identify the depicted form or sex.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Moon relates that Sneasel hunts Sandshrew at night, but may break its claws on their skin. Despite its sharp tools and tricks, its prey is therefore not always defenceless. This detail qualifies its reputation as a skilful predator.
