CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Drayton looks at the top seven cards of your deck to find a Pokémon and a Trainer card. You may reveal these resources and take them into your hand, while the other examined cards are shuffled back into the deck. The choice is therefore twofold but depends on this seven-card window. The effect does not search the whole deck or send rejected resources to the discard pile.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Drayton offers two different categories among the seven viewed cards: a Pokémon and a Trainer. This is not a free selection of any two cards. Unselected cards return to the deck before it is shuffled.
