CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Spectrier prefers silence and solitude. It gallops through the darkness of night and absorbs the life force of sleeping beings. To navigate, it uses its senses other than sight. Its touch can be as unsettling as its passage: the Pokédex reports that a kick could separate a target's soul from its body. That last power remains phrased as a possibility, while its nocturnal life is described directly.

A detail worth noticing

Sword specifies that Spectrier explores its surroundings without using sight, although it uses its other senses. Shield connects its nighttime galloping with absorbing sleepers' life force and emphasises its preference for quiet and isolation.
