CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
Decidueye turns its wing feathers into arrows that it shoots with great accuracy. It can hit a tiny target at long range and fire almost as soon as an opponent appears. Before a decisive shot, it tightens the vines around its neck to concentrate. Its composure is not infallible, however: caught off guard, it can panic. The Pokédex thus gives this formidable archer a weakness, with preparation mattering as much as speed.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Pokémon Sun credits Decidueye with the accuracy to hit a pebble from a hundred meters away. Pokémon Moon notes that a surprise can make it panic despite its composed appearance. A carefully chosen target therefore suits it better than an unexpected event.
