CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Transformation Tome requires two copies to be played together to apply its effect once. You then exchange a Basic Pokémon from your discard pile with one of your Basic Pokémon in play. Attached cards, damage, Special Conditions, turns in play, and other effects remain on the new Pokémon instead of being erased.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The two copies do not grant two exchanges: together they pay for a single effect. The Basic-stage requirement applies both to the Pokémon recovered from the discard pile and to the one replaced in play.
