CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

A Pokédex entry recounts that a soul unable to reach the afterlife was supposedly carried by the wind before becoming tangled in dried grass: this is said to be how Bramblin was born. It now rolls across the wilderness with the gusts, not even knowing its destination. It particularly dislikes water. Between its origin story and unpredictable movements, its existence remains tied to the air pushing it rather than a territory it chooses.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet gives Bramblin a supernatural origin, presented as the story of a soul mixed with dried grass. Pokémon Violet adds two less visible details: even Bramblin does not know where the wind will take it, and it hates getting wet.
