CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Torracat carries a fire sac on its neck whose resonance resembles a bell in battle. Against a powerful opponent, its determination grows and the flames of this bell become hotter. Its forelegs are strong enough to bend an iron bar with one blow. Yet it may also seek affection from its Trainer, potentially covering them in scratches with its claws. An upright mane shows that it feels well, while drooping fur indicates the opposite.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Moon credits Torracat with a blow capable of bending an iron bar. Pokémon Ultra Moon gives a clue to its mood: its mane stands up when it feels well. Pokémon Shield connects the intensity of its fiery bell with powerful enemies.
