CARDEX BACKGROUND
Salamence’s wings embody the consequence of an old desire: before evolving, it wanted to take flight despite its wingless body. The Pokédex connects the transformation of its cells with this aspiration, then describes its joy in roaming the sky. Yet that happiness has a limit: when provoked, the dragon can become uncontrollable. Its journey combines the fulfilment of a dream with power that must be approached cautiously.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Salamence spends so much time enjoying flight that Ultra Sun says it only comes down when it falls from exhaustion. After dreaming of wings for so long, it pushes this freedom to its limits. This habit concerns the species in the Pokédex; it describes neither the cost nor the effect of a card attack.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
