CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

When afraid, Sobble starts crying. But its tears affect the opponent too: their powerful irritation can make the opponent cry in turn. An emotion that initially seems to reveal fragility thus becomes protection. The little Pokémon influences the encounter without looking threatening, turning its fearful reaction into an obstacle for whoever approaches.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Water offers Sobble another way to protect itself. Pokémon Shield explains that its skin changes color when wet until it becomes invisible through camouflage. This disappearance therefore depends on a bodily change associated with moisture.
