CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Azurill has a ball at the end of its tail that bounces like rubber. It contains nutrients needed for growth, giving this flexible appendage a storage role. Usually docile, the Pokémon can nevertheless use it to strike when angered. It then swings it toward an opponent. The same ball thus accompanies development and becomes a weapon if the situation deteriorates.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Azurill's ball does more than bounce. Sword specifies that it holds nutrients essential for growth. Shield describes another use of this mobile reserve: when angry, Azurill swings it around to strike.
