CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Meditite trains in the mountains and sometimes eats only one Berry a day. This deprivation forms part of its mental discipline, which is said to allow it to levitate through meditation. Its learning does not progress smoothly, however: the Pokédex relates that it often loses concentration and must start its exercise again. This persistence gives its powers another meaning. They result from repeated work rather than effortless talent.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Omega Ruby explains that Meditite regularly loses concentration, endlessly prolonging its training. Pokémon Alpha Sapphire states that a single daily Berry is enough for it during this discipline. Its fasting therefore accompanies a mental exercise that constantly begins again.
