CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Duraludon has a metal body that is both light and strong. This construction gives it surprising mobility for such a rigid silhouette. The metal, however, does not withstand rain well: it can rust, and the Pokémon prefers to live in caves. The Pokédex thus contrasts its apparent robustness with a vulnerability to water. Caverns provide more than simple shelter from an opponent; they offer an environment suited to the very material of its body.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword states that Duraludon’s metal rusts easily. Pokémon Shield connects this sensitivity to its cave habitat, despite its great mobility. A strong body is therefore not necessarily protected against the weather.
