The Pokémon’s story

Ariados can run along walls and ceilings thanks to the tiny hooks on its feet. At night, it sometimes leaves its web to actively seek prey, then restrains it with threads produced from its mouth or abdomen. This silk is so strong that it is also used to make fabrics in some regions. The Pokédex describes a hunter that does not depend on a fixed trap: its threads accompany it wherever it goes.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Moon notes that Ariados can produce thread from two parts of its body, its mouth and abdomen. Pokémon Sun mentions clothing woven from this strong silk in some regions. Its hunting technique therefore also supplies people with a textile material.
