CARDEX BACKGROUND
At nightfall, Politoed sometimes joins lake shores to let out a powerful cry. Its kind may gather in a chorus beneath the moon, although their voices sound harsh to humans. Politoed also leads groups of Poliwag and Poliwhirl: its voice alone impresses them. The length of the curl on its head is associated with the number of companions that obey it. Between territorial singing and authority, its sounds have a social function beyond mere noise.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Ultra Sun recounts that a composer drew inspiration for a ballad from Politoed's otherwise harsh cry. Pokémon Ultra Moon connects its large hair curl with the number of Poliwag and Poliwhirl following it. Pokémon Shield describes males' deep voices as attractive.

Whenever three or more of these get together, they sing in a loud voice that sounds like bellowing.Pokemon Power
