CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Professor Burnet searches your deck for up to two cards and discards them, then has you shuffle the deck. Her search does not prepare your hand directly: it places the chosen resources in the discard pile. Categories are unrestricted, letting you select which cards to move instead of accepting an unchosen discard from the top.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The searched cards do not have to be Pokémon or Energy. That selection freedom does not change their destination: they enter the discard pile without passing through your hand during the effect.
