CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Shroodle marks the surroundings of its nest with poisonous liquid that smells acrid. These traces signal its territory and keep enemies away. Usually calm, it can become dangerous when angered: its poison-soaked front teeth cause paralysis when they bite. The Pokédex thus distinguishes two ways of defending its space. First it warns through marks it leaves; if that is not enough, it attacks directly.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Violet explains that marks around Shroodle's nest are painted with toxic, foul-smelling liquid. Pokémon Scarlet describes its poisonous incisors: their bite can paralyze whoever provoked it.
