CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Copycat shuffles your hand into your deck, then has you draw as many cards as the opponent currently holds. Your new hand size therefore depends on their resources without asking them to change theirs. Your previous cards are not discarded. The Supporter adjusts your hand to an external total instead of always providing the same number of cards.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Copycat does not copy the cards in the opponent's hand, only their number to determine your draw. The opponent keeps their hand while you shuffle yours back. The text does not require them to reveal the cards they hold.
