CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Rufflet readily challenges Pokémon that look strong, sometimes even its own parents. If it loses, it gives a resounding cry but resumes looking for fights. Its powerful talons break shells or hard Berries, and it mainly hunts small prey despite occasional plant-based meals. This early combativeness prepares it for the bird it will become. The Pokédex describes a young raptor constantly testing its strength before learning its limits.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Moon says Rufflet challenges its parents to prove its worth. Pokémon Ultra Sun shows it breaking Shellder's shell with its talons. Its search for opponents therefore begins very early, but its power also directly serves to feed it.
