CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Greedent stores so many Berries in its tail that some fall behind it without its noticing. Its absent-mindedness contrasts with its pride in its incisors, which can break through Berry shells. The Pokédex presents it as a common encounter in Galar. Its travelling food store and powerful teeth tell of the same habit: finding, keeping and opening Berries, even when the quantity it carries exceeds its attention.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Greedent’s tail acts as a store, but does not guarantee that it keeps all its haul. Pokémon Sword explains that Berries fall out without it noticing. Pokémon Shield instead emphasises its incisors, which no Berry shell can resist.
