CARDEX BACKGROUND
Pyukumuku lives near beaches and in shallow water. Facing prey or an opponent, it projects its internal organs to grab or strike. Its body is covered with moisture-retaining mucus, allowing it to spend several days out of water without drying out. This slimy protection also explains why people who step on it slip. The Pokémon may look motionless on the sand, but its defenses are very active.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Ultra Sun connects the tradition of Pyukumuku chucking with an older action: returning wave-stranded individuals to the sea. Pokémon Moon adds that their sticky mucus could be used to soothe sunburned skin.
