CARDEX BACKGROUND
Oranguru lives in the jungle, perched in trees where it meditates and watches other Pokémon. It knows the forest so well that it can search for plants to help an injured one. Its fan of leaves and fur also serves to guide, or even command, other creatures’ movements. This intelligence fuels rivalries with its own kind and sometimes contests with Slowking. The Pokédex presents a woodland sage whose abilities inspire both help and competition.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Moon reports contests of intelligence between Oranguru and Slowking near the coast. Pokémon Shield shows it searching for plants to help an injured Pokémon. Its knowledge of its environment can therefore fuel rivalry or be placed at others’ service.
