CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Switch changes the positions of Pokémon already in play: your Active Pokémon leaves the front line and one of your Benched Pokémon takes its place. The card does not summon a new Pokémon or change your opponent's Bench. It moves a team from one position to another with a single effect, which can bring a prepared fighter forward or remove the Active Pokémon from the center of the duel. The printings in this group describe precisely this movement between your own Pokémon.

A detail worth noticing

The printed text of Switch names two positions: the Active Spot and your Bench. It involves neither the discard pile nor a coin flip. The choice of Pokémon coming forward stays within your team, without selecting an opposing Benched Pokémon.
