CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Zorua conceals its identity to protect itself. Its shyness seems to have encouraged its ability to take on the appearance of other beings, whether humans or Pokémon. This change of appearance is more than a prank intended to surprise. For this small Pokémon, it is also a way of passing through a frightening situation without directly exposing its true outline to those who might threaten it.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

In Pokémon Shield, Zorua can take the appearance of a child to enter a town and look for food. This trick concerns the ordinary form described in that version; it does not borrow the different story attributed to Hisuian Zorua.
