CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
This Ultra Ball begins by discarding two cards from your hand before searching your deck for a Pokémon. The text specifies that it cannot be played if that discard is impossible. The chosen Pokémon enters your hand after being revealed, then the deck is shuffled. The effect opens a broad search in exchange for a fixed sacrifice without immediately putting the target into play.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
This Ultra Ball's cost does not decrease when your hand lacks resources: you must be able to discard two cards to play it. The search specifies no mandatory stage for the Pokémon but requires showing it before keeping it.
