CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Piers searches the deck for two different resources: an Energy card and a Darkness Pokémon. The found cards are revealed, put into the hand, and the deck is then shuffled. This search prepares the rest of the turn without attaching the Energy or putting the Pokémon directly into play. It lets the player choose cards matching the requested categories while showing the opponent the newly retrieved resources.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
The effect mentions an Energy card without restricting it to basic Energy, while specifying the searched Pokémon's Darkness type. Both cards enter the hand. Showing them to the opponent is part of the printed instruction before shuffling the deck.
