CARDEX BACKGROUND
Electabuzz seeks electricity even inside power plants, where its presence can disrupt the supply. As a storm approaches, groups head for high ground or wait near a tall tree for lightning to strike. Some towns have even exploited this attraction by using these Pokémon as lightning rods. Yet not every outage blamed on it is its doing. Its relationship with electricity thus combines a need to feed, gatherings beneath storms and a sometimes unfair reputation.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Sword states that some power plants keep Ground-type Pokémon nearby to stop Electabuzz stealing electricity. Pokémon Ultra Moon adds that outages blamed on Electabuzz sometimes conceal staff mistakes: its bad reputation goes beyond the facts.
