CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Metal Goggles reduces damage from opposing attacks to its Metal-type holder by thirty after Weakness and Resistance. It also prevents opposing attacks and Abilities from placing damage counters on that Pokémon. These protections distinguish attack damage from counter placement while requiring a Metal-type holder.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
The second protection names opposing attacks and Abilities as the sources of prevented counters. The text does not remove counters already on the Pokémon or present this property as healing.
