CARDEX BACKGROUND
Alolan Vulpix live in groups and help one another. Before eating, they can freeze prey with extremely cold breath. When heat becomes uncomfortable, their six tails produce ice shards that they scatter around themselves to cool down. Their small size does not leave them unprotected: carelessly approaching one may draw the Ninetales that leads the group.
Background on this form in the video games; this card’s attacks, edition and finish remain distinct.Alola's older residents still use the name Keokeo for this Vulpix. This old name is preserved in an entry that also describes its icy breath, linking a detail of local vocabulary with the regional form's distinctive traits.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
