CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Great Catcher brings a Pokémon-GX or Pokémon-EX from your opponent's Bench into the Active Spot in place of their Active Pokémon. Using it requires you to discard two other cards from your hand. The Item targets a particular category of Benched Pokémon, with a cost paid before benefiting from the position change imposed on your opponent.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The GX or EX restriction applies to the Pokémon you choose on the opponent's Bench. The Active Pokémon being replaced does not need to belong to either category for the described switch to be possible.
