CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Stunky defends itself by spraying a terribly smelly liquid from its rear. It can hit an opponent several meters away. Raising its tail is a warning: the spray is about to fire, and its stench can even cause unconsciousness. The Pokédex describes an odor that lasts a long time and can drive other Pokémon away over a wide area. Stunky therefore does not need to pursue its enemy to keep its distance.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword gives Stunky's spray a range of about five meters. Pokémon Shield describes its raised tail as the signal of an imminent spray. Alpha Sapphire specifies that the smell can remain for twenty-four hours afterward.
