CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Cosmog has a gaseous body so light that a breeze can carry it away. Curious and unwary, it often finds itself in danger but can teleport to safety. Ancient people called it the child of the stars. The entries do not fully agree on its origin: some describe another world as a rumor, while another states it outright. The Pokédex shows both its present fragility and the mystery surrounding its arrival.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Moon says Cosmog's extraterrestrial origin is unproven; Pokémon Sword presents it directly as such. Pokémon Shield, meanwhile, describes its teleportation in danger. The versions differ about its past but agree on its vulnerability.
