CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

The electric sacs in Pawmi's cheeks are still underdeveloped. To generate current, it must stimulate them by rubbing vigorously with its forepaw pads. These pads can also discharge electricity themselves. When Pawmi stands on its hind legs, it balances poorly, but the position lets it release a shock from its forepaws. The Pokédex thus describes a little Pokémon whose energy depends on precise gestures and an unstable stance.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pawmi's cheeks are not always enough to produce electricity. Pokémon Scarlet notes that it must rub them with its forepaw pads. Pokémon Violet reveals that those same pads also serve as electrical discharge organs.
