CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Dark Claw adds twenty damage to its holder's attacks when that holder is a Darkness Pokémon. The bonus concerns damage to the Active Pokémon and applies before Weakness and Resistance. The Tool strengthens an attacker of the required type without adding Energy or requiring a particular Pokémon category of the attack's target.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
Darkness must be the holder's own type. Darkness Energy attached to a Pokémon of another type does not by itself meet the condition, because the text concerns the equipped Pokémon's type.
