CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Devolution Spray removes the highest-stage Evolution card from one of your evolved Pokémon and returns it to your hand. The devolved Pokémon cannot evolve during this turn. The Item moves back an evolution step while preserving the removed card in hand, with an immediate restriction on evolving again during the same turn.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The effect does not automatically return the entire Pokémon and all its cards to your hand. It specifies the highest-stage Evolution card, while the remaining Pokémon receives the prohibition on evolving during this turn.
