CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Team Rocket's Petrel searches your deck for a Trainer card and puts it into your hand after revealing it. The deck is shuffled at the end of this preparation. Despite its name, the text does not restrict this search to Team Rocket cards. It allows choosing a Trainer without another specified affiliation but does not immediately trigger its effect.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Petrel's Team Rocket affiliation does not add a restriction absent from its search. The target is a Trainer card with no mandatory team mentioned. It must be revealed before entering the hand, then the deck is shuffled.
