CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Manectric generally avoids humans and is said to hide where lightning has already struck. Its mane releases electricity and can collect it from the atmosphere. When it enters battle, thunderclouds form above it; sparks from its coat can even start forest fires. It also sends current through its limbs to gain speed. The Pokédex thus depicts an elusive animal whose presence transforms the surrounding air and landscape.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

An isolated thundercloud may signal Manectric’s presence below, according to Pokémon Ultra Sun. The Pokédex describes it as being as fast as lightning. Pokémon Ultra Moon adds that it circulates electricity through its limbs to ease muscle pain.
