CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Amaura was resurrected from a fossil. In ancient times, it lived with its own kind in cold lands where predators were fewer. Cold also appears in the traces it left behind: specimens may still be discovered preserved in ice. Its history thus connects group life in protective regions with the discovery of remains preserved long after the species disappeared.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Shield states that Amaura can be found preserved in ice. Sword explains why their ancient cold lands suited them: they held few predators, and these Pokémon lived there with their own kind.
