CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Morelull spends the day dozing and drawing nourishment from tree roots. At night, it sets off in search of another tree, and its spores begin to glow. These points of light attract attention, but they can also send an opponent into deep sleep. The Pokédex notes that other forest Pokémon eat Morelull's caps; these regrow during the night. Its existence thus follows a quiet rhythm of rest, movement, and renewal.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Moon describes Morelull feeding through roots during its daytime sleep. Pokémon Sun mentions the sleep-inducing effect of its luminous spores. Pokémon Sword adds that caps eaten by other forest inhabitants grow back in one night.
