CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Thundurus crosses Unova’s sky, firing lightning from its tail. The land it flies over retains traces of numerous strikes. Some bolts may start fires, explaining the bad reputation attributed to it by the Pokédex. Its presence in the sky therefore does not go unnoticed: marks on the ground tell of its passage long after it has disappeared behind the clouds.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Black describes land covered in marks left by Thundurus’s lightning. Pokémon Y connects some of these bolts with fires and its bad reputation. The traces it leaves explain why its appearance can cause concern even after it has gone.
