CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Gym Trainer begins by adding two cards to your hand. If one of your Pokémon was Knocked Out during the opponent's last turn, two additional cards follow. This help preserves resources already held and can become more generous after a recent loss. The condition concerns the opponent's immediately preceding turn, not any Knock Out earlier in the match.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
Gym Trainer's bonus adds two cards to the first two, for a total draw of four. The text requires at least one Pokémon to have been Knocked Out; multiple casualties do not multiply this extra draw.
