CARDEX BACKGROUND
Minior resides in the ozone layer, wrapped in a very tough outer shell. When this covering becomes too heavy, it falls toward the ground. The impact may then shatter the shell and reveal its inner body. Another entry explains that stronger Pokémon prey on it at altitude, and its escape can also send it earthward. The Pokédex thus connects its descents with both the weight of its protection and dangers encountered in the sky.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Moon attributes Minior's origin to transformed nanoparticles, according to the game's entry. Pokémon Ultra Moon emphasizes a paradox: despite its shell's toughness, the impact of its fall can break it into pieces.
