CARDEX BACKGROUND
Skiploom opens its flower when the temperature rises. Its bud changes with the surrounding air, and the Pokédex places blooming at around eighteen degrees. It floats closer to the sun and spreads its petals to absorb light. Some people watch its flower opening as a natural thermometer. Its body thus follows seasonal changes as well as the daily movement of light.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Omega Ruby connects Skiploom's blooming with a temperature of 18°C and reports its use as a thermometer. Pokémon X notes that the bud responds to changes in the air. Its flower therefore provides a visible sign of a change not directly seen.
