The Pokémon’s story

In the laboratories described by the Pokédex, Mewtwo is born from years of experiments on Mew's genes. The result is far more than a simple copy: the entries describe an extremely violent temperament. Behind this artificial origin is a Pokémon shaped by the experiments that created it. Its story begins less in nature than in humanity's desire to recombine nature's secrets.

A detail worth noticing

Mewtwo's DNA is almost identical to Mew's, but Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! points out how greatly their size and temperament differ.
