CARDEX BACKGROUND

The role of this Energy

A Colorless resource can strengthen a Pokémon of the same type. This Energy provides one Colorless Energy to its holder. If that holder is a Colorless Pokémon, its attacks deal twenty additional damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon. The increase depends on the equipped battler's type and remains directed at the front-line opponent even when an attack reaches several areas of the field.

Background on this Special Energy’s effect; the printed text, edition and finish of each card remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The text distinguishes a Colorless holder and an opposing Active target. Both details limit the bonus: supplying Energy to a Pokémon of another type is insufficient to grant it the extra twenty damage.
