CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Trubbish is associated with rubbish bags left too long in dirty places. The Pokédex relates that the species arose from transformed waste and may make a cluttered room its home. By swallowing refuse, it produces toxic gas that it releases through its mouth. This emission even attracts certain Pokémon: Galarian Weezing are said to enjoy its smell. What repels humans can therefore become a resource or signal for other species.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sun describes Alolan Grimer chasing Trubbish. Pokémon Shield attributes an interest in its gas to Galarian Weezing. This smell, dangerous to humans, therefore also plays a role in Trubbish’s relationships with other Pokémon.
