This policy explains how LODEXGAMES processes personal data that may be collected when you use the website.

Data collected

When you use the contact form, LODEXGAMES may collect the information you provide voluntarily, including your name, email address and the content of your message.

Technical data may also be processed automatically to operate and secure the service, prevent spam and carry out technical measurement, for example your IP address, browser type, device or connection information.

Purposes and legal bases

Data is processed to respond to enquiries, operate and secure the website, prevent abuse and comply with applicable legal obligations. Depending on the processing involved, these operations are based on LODEXGAMES’ legitimate interests, the user’s consent or compliance with a legal obligation.

Service providers and recipients

Data is accessible only to the people and service providers who need it to operate the website and handle enquiries. LODEXGAMES uses WordPress.com / Automattic services in particular and may rely on Jetpack and Akismet for technical, security and anti-spam features.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some technical service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where necessary, these transfers are governed by the mechanisms provided for in applicable regulations, including appropriate contractual clauses.

Retention period

Data is kept only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Contact-form correspondence may be kept for the time needed to handle it and for a maximum of three years after the last exchange, unless a legal obligation requires a different period.

Your rights

Under applicable data protection regulations, depending on your circumstances, you may request access to your data, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, object to certain processing, request data portability where this right applies, or withdraw your consent where processing is based on it.

Cookies and other trackers

The website may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for its operation, security or certain features. Trackers that are not strictly necessary and require consent must only be set after you agree. Where a consent interface is displayed, you must be able to accept or refuse these trackers clearly.

Embedded YouTube videos

Some pages may include YouTube videos or links to external videos. Displaying a thumbnail hosted by YouTube or loading a player may establish a connection with Google/YouTube, including before you click Play, depending on the integration used.

Google states that it may process your IP address, browser and device information, referring URL and interactions with its services, and use cookies or other storage technologies. This processing may vary according to your settings and whether you are signed in to a Google account. Privacy-enhanced mode reduces certain personalisation uses; it does not guarantee that no data is transmitted.

You can read the guides without playing the videos; however, not playing a video does not guarantee that no connection to YouTube has already occurred.

Advertising and advertising cookies

LODEXGAMES may display advertisements supplied by partners or advertising networks. These services may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure or personalise advertisements. Where required by regulations, these trackers are only used after your consent has been obtained. You can refuse or withdraw this consent at any time through the cookie settings available on the website.

Adsterra advertisements

LODEX uses Adsterra to display banners, native ads, sponsored links (Smartlink), Social Bar and Popunder on eligible public pages: an advertisement may open in another tab or window when you click. Advertising code is loaded only after you agree in Advertising choices. Account, identity, payment and sales-management journeys are excluded.

After acceptance, Adsterra and its advertising delivery partners may process technical data, including IP addresses, browser and device information and advertising interactions, and use trackers to deliver, personalise and measure ads and manage their frequency. Advertisements may open third-party services governed by their own policies. See Adsterra’s privacy policy and its cookie policy for details of its processing and how to exercise your rights.

On the relevant public pages, you choose between free access with Adsterra advertisements and advertising trackers, or ad-free access for €0.99 per month while refusing these trackers. Refusing without an active subscription does not grant access to this content. Login, account and payment pages, orders already placed, legal notices, privacy information and contact remain accessible. Your choice is stored for six months in the necessary lodex_adsterra_choice cookie. After you agree, the lodex_ads_visit cookie limits repetition of Smartlink and Social Bar during the visit; it expires after thirty minutes of inactivity. Popunder frequency remains managed by Adsterra. The Advertising choices button on relevant pages and in this policy lets you change your mind. Withdrawing consent leads to the ad-free offer and stops advertising from loading on the new page; it does not retrospectively delete data already transmitted. Settings for other services, including videos and audience measurement, are separate.

LODEX ad-free subscription

The €0.99-per-month offer uses your existing LODEX account. LODEX stores your account ID, technical Stripe references for the customer, session and subscription, payment status, the end of the paid period, cancellation requests and the dated version of the terms accepted. This data is used to perform the subscription contract, grant ad-free access and handle billing enquiries. Stripe collects the information needed for payment through its secure form; LODEX does not store your full bank-card number.

When you are signed in to an account with an active paid period, LODEX does not load its Adsterra advertisements or their trackers. Cookies necessary for login, security and managing your choice remain in use. External videos may be opened at your initiative on their platforms, which apply their own rules. LODEXGAMES may contain links to third-party websites or services, including partner retailers through affiliate programmes. When you leave LODEXGAMES, the processing carried out by these services is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
